Chairman Mushahid Hussain Sayed attends Human Rights Committee's Meeting

Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Defence Mushahid Hussain Sayed, attended the meeting of Standing Committee on Human Rights, on Friday. The Standing Committee of Senate which met with Senator Afrasiab Khattak in the chair at the committee room of chief secretary office talked about the law and order condition in Karachi, mainly with reference to targeted killings and extortion in the city. Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed while discussing the performance of Rangers said “Political parties should start a discussion in order to get the paramilitary force out of the towns and cities and give them the duty of safeguarding the borders” .He added “the police must be empowered with more funds, tactical gear and equipment, and militant wings of political parties should not exist, there should be action against such militant wings, across the board, based on evidence upholding the rule of law”.
