Senator Mushahid , Ambassador Sun Weidong to give lecture on upcoming OBOR Summit

Islamabad, May 1: An insightful lecture regarding the upcoming ‘Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation ’in Beijing will be held on Wednesday, 3rd May 2017, in Islamabad.

Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Chairman Pakistan China Institute (PCI) and CPEC Parliamentary Committee, and H.E. Sun Weidong, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan will elaborate the goals and objectives the OBOR Summit, and unfold the opportunities offered under the OBOR initiative.

To boost international cooperation for the One Belt One Road Initiative proposed by Chinese president  Xi Jinping, China will host ‘Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation’, from May 14-15 in Beijing.

Under OBOR Initiative , Chinese investors are encouraged to invest in the power projects, mineral sector, industrial zones technology and cultural sectors to boost economic development in the Asian region and beyond.

Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will lead a Pakistani delegation to the Forum , and will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping, who will address the opening ceremony, deliver a keynote speech
