"Let me send my best wishes to all the Chinese people around the global who are now celebrating the Chinese New Year 2015, the year of goat, the gentle and compassionate, expressed Chairman, Pakistan-China Institute, Senator Mushahid Hussain while greetings to Chinese people on the festive eve of Spring Festival starting February 19,2014.
He said “Chinese people's dedication and commitment for economic and scientific achievements is worth learning, its role for world peace and contribution for global development is worthwhile”.
He said Pakistan China enjoy harmonious relation in all sectors of life. In 2014, Pakistan China achieved tremendous progress, there were highest level visits including the visits of prime ministers besides representatives from education, media and businesses. Cultural exchanges, academic cooperation were also seen rising in the last year.
"In 2015, the year of goat, Chinese president Xi Jumping’s visit to Pakistan would further boost friendship between Pakistan and China- the two traditional partners, and time tested allies. 2015 is year of Pakistan China Friendly Exchanges that marks the beginning of activities enhancing cultural and people to people contacts between the two brotherly nations", Mushahid added.
Deeper cooperation of Pakistan China economic corridor, Silk Road initiative would bring prosperity and development to the region.
He hoped that in the year 2015, the people of two countries would receive more compassion, love and people friendly policies adding new strength and vision to the existing time tested friendship of Pakistan China.
He wished healthy, happy, harmonious life to the Chinese people around the world. by saying "China and Chinese people would contribute more mto world peace in the spirit of the Sheep, which he said represents the gentle and compassionate".
Spring Festival, being an important time for family reunions, is China's most important traditional holidays. The traditional activities include the family dinner besides sharing gifts for parents, children and other relatives. The most traditional way is the red envelopes filled with cash given to family members. On this festival, homes and streets are lightened with red lanterns to celebrate happy life.
