Mushahid Hussain Sayed hosts a dinner in the honour of visiting Chinese media delegation.

May 12, 2011 Islamabad: Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Chairman Pakistan China Institute hosted a dinner in the honour of visiting Chinese media delegation in Marriot Hotel Islamabad on May 10, 2011.

The dinner was attended by prominent personalities both from Pakistan and China that included Riaz Akhokhar; former foreign secretary, Khalid Mehmood; former ambassador to China, Faisal Mushtaq; CEO of Roots School System, Haleem Adil Sheikh; General secretary PML-Sindh,Muhammad Iqbal Tabish: Secretary General SAARC chamber of Commerce and Industry.

While the participants from China were Ms Wang, correspondent China Radio International, Li Baodong, Director Xinhua News Agency, Gao Xin Cheng, China Youth Daily, Charles Liu, Oriental Morning Post, Leo Lee China Daily and officials of Chinese embassy also attendee the dinner.

While briefing the Chinese delegation on various aspects of tested friendship between Pakistan and China, Mushahid Hussain Sayed appreciated the prompt moral and diplomatic support of People’s Republic China in the scenario that emerged after the death of Osama Bin Laden when Pakistan came under criticism.

While briefing the delegation Riaz khokhar said that Pakistan China relations have taken new dimension of mutual cooperation in trade sector which will help to boost trade and economic activities in region.

Mr.Li Baodong showed expressed please over visiting Pakistan and added that media can play vital role to further boost Pakistan China cooperation. He further said that cooperation in the tourism sector could help to boost bilateral relations between Pakistan and China. He also appreciated the active role of Pakistan China Institute for promoting Pakistan China friendship.

Charles Liu said he was impressed by the warm reception and friendly gestures of Pakistani people, and stressed the need of youth exchanges between Pakistan and China.

This visit of Chinese media delegation is a part of celebrations of 60th anniversary of the establishment of Pakistan China diplomatic relations. The main objective of this visit is enhancing people to people contacts between Pakistan and china. The delegation will visit Islamabad and Lahore.
