Youlin 'Good Naeighbours' Magazine to bridge culture of Pakistan, Xinjiang (China): Mr.Qiaojifu

Islamabad, 16: Youlin “Good Neighbours” Magazine aimed to bridge culture of Pakistan, Xinjiang (China) was launched by Pakistan-China Institute (PCI) and Xinjiang Group on Friday in Islamabad.

A robust launching ceremony of Youlin “Good Neighbours” Magazine was organized by PCI at International Islamic University Islamabad auditorium crowded with delegates from Xinjiang, Chinese students, scholars, diplomats and politicians, civil society and media persons.

Mr.Qiaojifu, the Deputy President of People’s Congress Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region launched the Youlin “Good Neighbours” Magazine by expressing his views that Youlin will become an icon of Pakistan China Friendship, boosting cultural exchanges, presenting life, people, culture and booming development of Xinjiang (Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region)

Elaborating the economic and development potential of Xinjiang, Mr.Qiaojifu said Xinjiang’s economic zones will serve as a platform for the country’s strategy to further open up to its western neighbors. It is milestone as well as remarkable endeavor of PCI and step forward to further boost the Pakistan China Strategic Partnership.

He also lauded the efforts of Chairman Pakistan China Institute for taking such a unique initiative aimed to enhance bilateral cooperation between China’s Xinjiang and Pakistan.

Mr. Qiaojif is the leader of a 22 member Xinjiang delegation visiting Pakistan on the invitation of Pakistan China Institute.

Dr. Dushka Saiyid, Editor of Youlin said this magazine is a joint project of PCI and Xinjiang Group which will become harmonious voice of the people of Pakistan and Xinjiang .Its mission will be informing and enlightening the people of  China’s Xinjiang and Pakistan.

Mushahid Hussain Sayed Chairman Pakistan China Institute said Youlin will be a platform for meeting of minds, a representative of common values and common culture of Pakistan and China. Youlin will be reflection of intellectual harmony, he added.

Former Prime Minister Ch.Sujat Hussain, President of IIUI Sahibzada Sajid Rehman, Rector Fateh Mohammad Malik (IIUI), also appreciated the various projects launched by Pakistan China Institute.

First issue of Youlin-Good NEIGHBOURS Magazine was also presented to visiting guests on this occasion.

The Pakistan-China Institute has signed an MOU with the Xinjiang Group that includes cooperation in joint publication of a monthly magazine as well as publication and distribution of Chinese books in Pakistan and establishment of a special section for Chinese books in leading book stores in Islamabad.

Xinjiang is an autonomous region (Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region) of the People's Republic of China. It is the largest Chinese administrative division and spans over 1.6 million km2. Xinjiang, linked with Pakistan through an ancient Silk Road, will become a regional logistics center, a financial and trading hub and a key processing center for internationally traded goods in near future.
