Mushahid Hussain terms attack on Ziarat Residency as 'Ideological Terrorism'

Islamabad (June 15, 2013): PML Secretary General Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed has strongly condemned the act of terrorism against the Ziarat Residency, where the Quaid e Azam spent his last days, terming it a ‘serious security lapse’ and an act of ‘ideological terrorism’, since it targeted an important national symbol related to the revered Founder of Pakistan and Father of the Nation.

While calling for an immediate public inquiry on this security lapse,Senator Mushahid Hussain also demanded that the Federal Government immediately announce plans to rebuild and restore the Ziarat Residency, so that this important symbol of national history is revived as a mark of respect to the Quaid e Azam.

The PML Secretary General also expressed his condolences with the family of the bereaved police officer who died defending this national monument.
